About
About Mwendo Traders.
Mwendo Traders Ltd. is a Rwandan road-freight operator running its own fleet of heavy trucks for bulk, containerised and project cargo across Rwanda and the East African corridors.

Who we are
A transport operator, built around owning the assets.
Mwendo Traders Ltd. is a Rwandan company that moves cargo on its own trucks. That sentence carries more weight in this market than it might elsewhere: a large share of road freight here is arranged by intermediaries who take an order first and find a vehicle afterwards, or by associations of independent owners where each truck answers to a different person.
We are neither. The fleet is on our books, the drivers are on our payroll, and the dispatch desk that commits a truck to you is the same desk that can move it. When we say a truck is available on Thursday, no third party has to agree.
[COMPANY BACKGROUND — when the company started, what it started with, and how the fleet has grown. Two or three sentences in the owner's own words carry more weight than any marketing copy.]
The work is unglamorous and the standard is simple: the truck arrives when we said it would, the cargo is in the condition it was loaded in, and the paperwork comes back signed.

What we run on.
Nothing here is estimated for effect. Every figure comes from company records, and anything not yet confirmed stays bracketed.

Why Mwendo
What actually makes the difference.
Every transporter says reliable. These are the structural facts behind the word.
The fleet is ours
We are one company operating one fleet — not an association of independent owners, and not a broker reselling somebody else's trucks. When we commit capacity, we control it.
[NUMBER] owned units
Enough trucks to matter
Fleet depth is what lets us put several units on the same lane on the same day, absorb a seasonal peak, or hold trucks on standby for a shipment window.
[NUMBER] t combined payload
One chain of accountability
Our drivers, our maintenance, our dispatch. If something goes wrong there is no third party to point at, and no gap between who you contracted and who is driving.
Corridor experience
Our drivers run the Northern and Central corridors regularly. Border posts, weighbridges, permitted hours and stopping points are known quantities, not surprises.
You get an answer
Quotations returned within [RESPONSE TIME — e.g. 24 hours]. A named contact for your account. Status confirmed when you ask, not when it is convenient.
Cargo arrives as it left
Loading, securing and sheeting to a fixed standard, goods-in-transit cover on every load, and a signed delivery note back to you.
How a job runs
How a job runs.
Seven steps, with a named owner at each one.
- 01
Enquiry
You send the cargo, the route and the timing — by form, phone or WhatsApp. Volume, weight and any handling constraints are all we need to start.
- 02
Assessment
We check equipment against the cargo, the route against the load, and the date against fleet availability. Abnormal loads get a route survey first.
- 03
Quotation
A written rate with what is included — transport, insurance, waiting time, border costs where applicable — inside [RESPONSE TIME].
- 04
Allocation
Truck and driver assigned and confirmed to you by name and plate before the collection date. No day-of substitutions without telling you.
- 05
Loading
Cargo loaded, secured and sheeted to standard, documentation checked, and the movement released by dispatch.
- 06
Transit
Tracked throughout. Status on request, and proactive contact if anything on the route changes the delivery window.
- 07
Delivery
Offloading as agreed, signed delivery note, and the paperwork back with you for reconciliation.
Start at step one
Send the cargo, route and date. Everything after that is ours to organise.
Safety & cargo care
Safety and cargo care.
Cargo damage and border delays are process failures, not bad luck. These are the controls in place.
Preventive maintenance
Units are serviced to a schedule and inspected before dispatch. A truck that is not roadworthy does not load.
Driver standards
Drivers are employed, licensed for the class they operate, and briefed on load securing, rest and route discipline.
Load securing
Cargo is strapped, blocked and sheeted to a written standard, and checked before the truck leaves the yard.
Insured in transit
Cargo carried under goods-in-transit cover with [INSURER AND COVER LIMIT], confirmed in writing at quotation.
Tracked and reportable
Vehicle tracking fleet-wide, with position and status confirmed on request during transit.
Documented delivery
Signed delivery notes returned after every trip, so your records close the same week the cargo lands.

Work completed
Projects and references.
The single most persuasive thing you can add to this site: two or three real movements, with tonnage, route and duration.
Client logos
Add customer logos once you have written permission to use them. Drop each file in /public/clients and list it in content/trust.ts. Four to eight recognisable names is the strongest single trust signal on a B2B site.
Case references
Add completed movements in content/trust.ts — for each: what was moved, for whom (with permission), the route, the tonnage or truck count, and how long it took. Three entries is enough. Procurement teams read this section before they read anything else.
Request a quotation
Send us the load. We will send back the truck and the rate.
Cargo, weight, pickup, destination and the date. That is enough for a written quotation.
